The The Ocean Exchange’s™ Board of Governors welcomes all organizations and individuals to join us and participate as we collect and promote the adoption of the best solutions available from around the world through our Solutions Exchange and Ocean Exchange programs each September in Savannah Georgia.

We are about celebrating the innovation and commitment of the teams who bring ideas all the way to Solutions Inspiring Action. We believe they are our hero’s of tomorrow. Our board works to engage everyone in accelerating the introduction and adoption of their work. We are all about creating new opportunities by having people with different perspectives and from diverse disciplines working together in new ways.

Our Board of Governors are our networks’ connectors and weavers:

• Representing our global network as spokespersons.
• Taking responsibility for inviting and engaging individuals in the network.
• Accumulating and spreading solutions, information and tools throughout the network.

Each board member makes a personal commitment to setting the foundation for growth, resilience and reach for the The Ocean Exchange™, this is done through:

Expanding Our Global Reach

Using their global networks and media connections to constantly promote awareness of  the work of the The Ocean Exchange™ and our annual call for solutions.

Recruiting Participation

In addition to attending the Solutions Exchange each September,

throughout the year, our Board aggressively reaches out and connects with individuals and organizations to engage their participation through:

• Submission of solutions and programs;
• Recruitment of experts to serve on our Global Solution Review Panel;
• Becoming a partner or a sponsor or
• Attending the Solutions Exchange as a Delegate or the Ocean Exchange as a participant.

Fortifying SOE

Each Governor contributes to the financial security and future success of our organization through financial and/or program contributions.

Our Executive Team is committed to creating worldwide partnerships that:

• Bring multiple constituencies and perspectives together to exchange insights and to identify and promote breakthrough innovations
• Create personal attachments to our Ocean
• Expand the understanding of our Ocean’s multifaceted interconnections with man

All work of the The Ocean Exchange™ is done through an extensive and committed network of volunteers and our partner organizations.

Our Intern Team spent the summer working on several key projects for the The Ocean Exchange™ including:

• Nat-Geo SOE Films
• SOE Digital Exhibition
• GA Power Marine Biology Display

This team of interns is made up of students from several colleges in and around Savannah.
